Measures to slow down the spread of the coronavirus

Fennovoima has decided to restrict guests' access to its premises in both Helsinki and Pyhäjoki until further notice. Besides, the company is not organizing any visits to the Hanhikivi 1 construction site for now.

Fennovoima wants to ensure the wellbeing of its personnel, partners and guests. Due the coronavirus pandemic, the company has restricted guest access to all its facilities, and all the site visits to the Hanhikivi peninsula have been cancelled.

The company is encouraging its personnel to work remotely when it is feasible. Fennovoima personnel won’t participate in external training, meetings or events. Personnel is avoiding all traveling, and Fennovoima’s employees are using technology as much as possible in all communications with different stakeholders.

Construction works at Hanhikivi 1 construction site and necessary training related to the works will continue. However, Fennovoima is limiting the number of people attending meetings and training on the site and paying special attention to good hand hygiene and cleanliness of the premises.

The company will cancel all the site visits that have been agreed during the spring, but the aim is to find replacing timing for them. Also, Fennovoima’s office in the Pyhäjoki municipality centre has been closed since 16th of March.
